Biography

Sietse Huisman, is a freelance session drummer from the Netherlands.

Born 1968 and with 20 years of professional experience Sietse is a well known drummer in the scene.

 

He worked consistant and incidential with lots of national and international artists like: Richard Smith, Twarres, Willeke Alberti, Rob de Nijs, Boudewijn de Groot, Jan Akkerman, Clannad, Mike Stern, Steve Kahn, Tom Braxton, Eugene Ruffolo and many others.

At this point Sietse works a lot with his wife, a great new Dutch act Elske DeWall.

You will find Sietse most of his working time on the road or working in his studio recording drumtracks.

 

Personal projects: With his band Art Attack wich was founded in the year 2000, Sietse recorded two albums. The first "Zero Visibility" and the second "Green".

As an endorser for Tama drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Regaltip drumsticks and Evans drumheads Sietse also works as a clinician.

He performed drumclinics at events like the Frankfurter musik Messe, drumevents and music colleges.

 

Besides that Sietse works as a teacher at the Academy for Popculture in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.

At his studio in Leeuwarden Sietse records drumtracks on a freelance basis for those who need them.

He produces and records bands on a regular basis.
